Without healthy people, we are a nation in crisis. Tribal government must promote the health and well-being of all our people. Our tribal government must be active in holding the Indian Health Service (IHS) and our Tribal Health Department, accountable for providing quality and comprehensive health care services to our community. I believe we must start this process by asking ourselves tough questions: such as have we used our health dollars wisely for the benefit of our people? As a result of our services has the health of our people improved over the years? I am committed to seeking new solutions to old problems in the field of health.
